Oakland’s Most Powerful is very excited to host World Record Holder John Odden for a Mace & Circular Movement workshop!
The primary goal of this workshop is to create a safe and solid foundation of basic & intermediate mace exercises.
Training with Maces provides:
Mobility, stability, strength, and power in the wrists, shoulders and thoracic spine
Improvements in grip strength, posture, coordination, and other qualities
Reflexive/reactive shoulder and core stability through tension and flow "pulsing patterns"
Rotation and Frontal plane movement (getting out of the sagittal plane)
Offset loading for the body
A potential method for addressing imbalances
Attendees will develop a rich knowledge of:
Hand to hand switches
How to combine exercises into complexes/flows (e.x. 360 into -Front Squat with Press)
